fast twitchers? is that you?

It was a fine night of track racing last night. A sizable crowd, nice weather, and no real mishaps made for a stellar round of racing. Of course, the fact that my fast twitch fibers decided to come out of dormancy helped my spirits. It's been a while since I could get on top of a 90+ gear and finish with something left for the next race! Chris Ferris was nice enough to comment on it as well. Of course, let's not forget that this awakening happened during the keirin, which is motorpaced at 31 mph, so that there's little energy actually put into a wind-up, but it's a start.

Super Rookie has invited me to join his startup team next year. A kind gesture indeed, but I have a lot of thinking to do now. Tom Colburn asked me to join up with Team Makeshift a few yers back, and I opted out on the grounds that I liked my big 200+ member GP/Bianchi team. Of course, of those 200, less than 5 race at the track, and of those, only a couple cat 2's. So it's pretty thin as far as GP trackie numbers. So I would feel like I owe Tom an excuse if I jumped to SR's team now. But I think SR's got a bigger following at the track than Tom had, and that could be the deciding factor. All said and done, I don't really care who I'm racing with, as long as nobody feels dissed.

Next Thursday is all Madison night. Could be something to see!

Thanks, Team Advil

A big thanks to Team Advil for allowing me to provide massage services during this past week's NVGP stage race! It was a tough race coming off some nasty crashes in Philly, but you all were a very professional and mature bunch to work with. I enjoy receiving feedback from athletes of your caliber, and giving advice to receptive clients makes my job much less of a job.

Good luck during the rest of your season.
